Norman Russell Willis Sr., 79, a resident of Berwick, La., and Franklin, La., died Sunday, May 26, 2013.
Mr. Willis was a boat captain for Tidewater Marine for 20 years. He loved hunting, fishing, shrimping and trapping. He was a wonderful provider for his family and his main concern was to see that his family had everything. He loved to see his family succeed and did all he could to make that happen. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Melba Willis; daughters, Linda and Sherry Willis; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Norman Willis Jr.; mother, Bertha Willis; stepfather, Curtis Baker; and one grandchild. (Hargrave)
