Norris Anthony Sevin, 65, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 3:17 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010.


Mr. Sevin was a retired shrimper. He enjoyed drinking coffee and chatting with friends.


He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Elgin) of Montegut; sons, Carl of Bayou Blue, and Tony (Polly) of Pointe-aux-Chenes; brothers, Nac Sr. of Delcambre and Henry Sevin Sr. of Montegut; sisters, Mrs. Carroll “Janelle” Voisin of Chauvin, Mrs. Roy Evemay” Roberts of Houma, Mrs. Eldon J. Sr. “Anna Lee” Authement of Montegut, Mrs. Elmore “Theresa” Nelton of Chauvin, Mrs. Hewitt-Nome “Gloria” Neal of Houma, Genevieve Bourg of Chauvin, Zoe Sevin of Chauvin, and Betty Sevin of Houma; grandchildren, Chase Blanchard, Jarreth Sevin, Katie Sevin, Christopher Sevin and Josie Sevin; and great-grandchild, Hayden Blanchard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Onezip and Agnes Hebert Sevin; grandparents, Allan and Jullianna LeBouef Sevin, and Wallace and Emma Sevin Hebert; daughter, Lynn Marie Sevin; and grandchild, Anthony James Sevin.

He is buried at Rogers Cemetery.
