O.B. Vonzo Watson, 79, a native of Marshall, Texas, and resident of Patterson, La., died Wednesday, June 6, 2012.


Mr. Watson was known as a joker and prankster. He enjoyed working with his hands and especially had a passion for wood working. He loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.


He is survived by his daughters, Derinda (Michael) Cantrell, Charlene (John) Tholen and Darlene (John) Hughes; sons, Frank (Lea) Maddix, William Jr. (Paula) and Walter (Debbie) Boswell; sister, Ruth (Andrew) Scardino; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ila and Richard Watson; wife, Rovena Watson; sons, James Adkins and Richard Watson; sister, Juanita Volker; and six brothers.

Burial was at Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. (Twin City)
