Odessa Hebert Walker, 91, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 16.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosie Walker Bourgeois and Susan Ann Walker Tatum; one son, Moise “Buddy” Walker Jr.; two grandchildren, Christopher Moise Tatum and Krista Lynn Nicole Tatum; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Moise Tatum Jr., Elizabeth Odessa Walker Tatum and Kenneth Moise Ward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Moise Walker Sr.; parents, Frank Joseph Hebert and Bernice Butcher Hebert; one daughter, Arlene Walker; and one brother, Alex Hebert.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a homemaker. She was a good mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at Chauvin Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
