Ole Blanco Morrison, 93, a native of Bayou L’Ourse, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, September 10, 2007.


She is survived by two daughters, Katherine Thibodaux and her companion Emile Foret and Judy Theriot and her husband D.J.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 78 years, Sterling Morrison Sr.; her parents, Morris Blanco and Marie Hebert Blanco; six sisters, Emily Guillot, Maggie Keller, Dovey Bergeron, Mary Pennison, Sidonia Nini, and Lorraine Barrilleaux; three brothers, Adam, Lawrence, and Harry Blanco; and two sons, Sterling “Buck” Morrison, Jr. and Lloyd Morrison.

Ole was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She loved to cook macaroni and cheese and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, walking for exercise, visiting friends and family, going to the casino, and planting flowers. She spoke fluent French and enjoyed listening to music. She loved having her family and friends at her home.

She is buried at St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Schriever.

Twin City Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of the arrangements.
