Olevia “Noe” Farlow, 79, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, November 12.


She is survived by her devoted companion of forty years, Roosevelt Thompson of Raceland; one son, Oliver Brown Jr. of Raceland; one daughter, Eula Mae Edwards of Grand Prairie, Tx.; one brother, Johnny Farlow of Raceland; two sisters, Ruth Robinson of Thibodaux, La., and Cora Lawson of Raceland; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Brown Sr.; parents, Nancy and Clarence Farlow Sr.; one son, Clarence Brown Sr.; and three brothers, Freddie, Joe, and Clarence Farlow Jr.

She was Baptist. She loved cooking.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. The Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at Young Ladies Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
