Onise Lathrop Galliano, 85, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Thursday, November 13, at 6:40 p.m.
She is survived by her two sons, Moise Galliano Jr. and wife Cynthia, and Horace Galliano and wife Kathy; three daughters, Loretta G. Ledet and husband Ronald, Mary G. Gisclair and Anesia “Nesie” G. Doucet and husband Patrick; brothers, Morrison “Lou” Lathrop and Lorris Lathrop; her daughter-in-law, Julie B. Galliano; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Moise Galliano Sr.; parents, Woodford Lathrop and Leoncia Coron Lathrop; son, Norris Galliano; brothers, Bardford Lathrop, Davidson Lathrop and Woodford Lathrop Jr.; sisters, Nora Marie Lathrop Anselmi, Eleonore Marie Lathrop Pitre, Carrie Marie Lathrop Cheramie, Dorothy Lathrop Sacco.
She was Protestant and a member of the Lighthouse Worship Center. She loved singing and dancing.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, November 17, at Lighthouse Worship Center in Galliano with services to follow at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
