Ora Guillot Roundtree, 81, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Thursday, October 4, 2007.


She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lloyd L. Roundtree; two sons, Eric A. Roundtree and Rick Roundtree; one sister, Pearl Guillot Oncale; two daughters in law, Kathy U. Roundtree and Susan R. Roundtree; and three grandchildren, Erica Roundtree, Ashley Roundtree and Tiffany Roundtree.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert A. Guillot and Adelaide Richard Guillot; six brothers, Andrew, Murphy, Claude, Gilbert, Abby “JoJo” and Albert “Coonie” Guillot; and five sisters, Emily G. Pitre, Mabel G. Clausing, Irene G. Foret, Alma G. Molaison and Odessa G. Andras.

Ora worked as a bus monitor for the Acadia Developmental Center at Nicholls State University. Her hobbies and interest were cooking, bingo, casino trips, and taking care of her friends and family. She always shared her friendship and good fortune with others. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is buried in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
