Ornish Riful Jr., 75, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Belle Rose, La., died Friday, June 5.
He is survived by his wife, Cecile Bennett Riful of Belle Rose; children, Helen Fields of Calif., Carol and Edward Williams of Okla., Donna Nora, Patricia and Melvin Ballard, Theresa Carter, Sandy and Donald Coxen, Barbara and Claudia Carter of Thibodaux, La., Gerald and Hester Carter, Phillip and Monica Carter of Napoleonville, La., and Charles Jackson of Baton Rouge, La.; sister, Olivia Morton and husband James of Miss.; brothers, Cleveland Rayfield of New Orleans and George Rayfield of LaPlace, La.; 51 grandchildren; and 64 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivia Clark and Ornish Riful Sr.; former wife, Octavia Carter; son, Bobby Carter; brother, Donald Rayfield; sisters, Ophilia Mitchell and Dorothy Smith; and granddaughter, Tamaka Carter.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at Christ Baptist Church in Belle Rose.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
