Orville Ray LaVergne, 76, a native of Lake Charles, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, June 3, at 11:45 a.m.

He is survived by his half-brother, Henry Lee Ardoin and wife Carol of Jennings, La.; his half-sister, Thelma L. and husband Don Rhodes; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Marcantel LaFleur.

He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Annunziata Church with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
