He was extremely devout and loyal to his Christian faith, serving in its leadership for

He was an ardent Freemason who lived his life practicing its beliefs of “The Fatherhood of God,” “The Brotherhood of Man” and “The Immorality of the Soul.” The beautiful Terrebonne Fellowship Lodge building on Bayou Gardens Boulevard, brought about during his term as Worshipful Master, stands as testimony to his dedication, leadership and untiring efforts. He was a retired corrosion engineer and a published author in his field of expertise. served on the boards of the International Association of Corrosion Engineers, Jo

Ellen Smith Hospital, International I-49 Coalition, and many other civic and

philanthropic organizations through his career. He held to the philosophy that “a person’s wishes determine what he becomes.”
