Patsy Mary Brunet Dupre Bourg, 69, a native of Houma, LA. and resident of Gray, LA., died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Joseph Bourg of Gray; one son, Jerry J. Dupre Jr. and wife, Penny Domangue Dupre; two daughters, Sherry Dupre Fonseca and husband, Bobby, and Connie Dupre Gaines and husband, Paul; four brothers, Thomas Brunet Jr., Ralph Brunet, Harold Brunet and Robert Brunet; two sisters, Shirley Brunet Thornton and Rita Mae Brunet Price; and seven grandchildren, Tabatha Dupre, Bryan Fonseca, Renee Rochel, Lainey Dupre, Trent Dupre, Kristie Fonseca and Katie Fonseca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. Brunet Sr. and Anita Garnet Galley Brunet; and one sister, Dorothy Brunet Fonseca.
She was a retired sales clerk at Dillard’s.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She was known for her involvement in all school activities from her children to her grandchildren. She was known as Mrs. Dupre. She loved conversation, dancing and meeting new people, but her passion in life was her family, who she enjoyed spending time with. She will be dearly missed by not only her family and friends, but by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Garcia and all medical staff at Chabert Medical Center and Terrebonne General Medical Center for their compassion and gentle care during her time of need.
