Paul J. Poincon Sr. 70, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, May 30.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Kreamer Poincon; children, Karen Poincon and companion Bob Passman, Paul Poincon Jr. and wife Lanetta Wayne DeRoche, Jennifer Loupe and husband Dudley, Pamela Russo and husband Jonathan, and Byron DeRoche and wife Lola; grandchildren, Zachary and Payton Poiencot, Rachelle Gautreaux, Brittany Pijor, Ashley and Nicole Russo, Ross and Kaylee DeRoche and Bretta Tassara; and great-grandchildren, Cullen Nyssen Gabrielle Gautreaux and Kaleb Tassara.
He was preceded in death by, his first wife, Shirley Navarro Poincon; and parents, Nelson Poincon and Ida Boudreaux Poincon,
He served in the U.S..Army and was a member of the Knights of Columbus – St. Louis (Bayou Blue). He was employed by Sammy Poiencot Electrical Service.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Liturgy of the Word to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.
