Paul “Sam” Joseph Bonvillain Sr., 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
He is survived by his daughters, Paula (Alvernes) Dunmiles, Michele (Leroy Jr.) Smith, Sarmona (Roy Jr.) Miller, Carla (Warren) Johnson, Angie (Ronnie) Garner and Jacqueline (Timothy) Spencer; sons, Paul Jr., Patrick (Kioka) and Timothy (Anita) Bonvillain; companion, Patricia Hartman; brother, James Sr. (Joyce) Bonvillain; sisters, Mary Nixon, Emma Bonvillain and Delores (Nilo Sr.) Johnson; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Bonvillain; parents, Willie Sr. and Emma Bonvillain; brothers, Albert, Willie Jr., Earl and Harry Sr. Bonvillain; and sisters, Leola Torrey, Ora Mae Norman, Florence Williams, Joyce Lebeouf and Dorothy Steverson.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 23, and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Morning Star Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. (Jones)
