Pauline Duplantis

Pauline Neil Duplantis, 84, a native of Pointe-Aux-Chene, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, September 24, 2007, at 12:29 a.m.

She is survived by her three sons, Murphy, Jr., Richard, Sr., and Errol, Sr. Duplantis; one daughter, Paula Duplantis Baudoin; one brother, Reggie Neil; one sister, Velma Marie; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy P. Duplantis, Sr.; her parents, Henry and Lawrencia Ledet Neil, Sr.; one granddaughter, Kim Marie Duplantis; three brothers, Jeffery, Henry, and Edward Neil; and two sisters, Edia Neil Pellegrin Adams and Regina Neil Robichaux.

Pauline was a devout Catholic.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 25, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and Wednesday, September 26, 2007, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, La. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
