Pauline Naquin Henry, 75, a native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, La., and a resident of Montegut, La., died Saturday, December 21, at 5:11 a.m.


She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Henry and wife Molly, Samuel “Sam” Henry, Lanny Dardar Sr. and wife Agnes “Jo” and Carl Verdin and wife Melinda; daughter, Barbara “Ba-Lou” DeRoche and husband Claude “Bubba”; brothers, Michel Naquin and wife Juliane and Irvin “T-Vin” Naquin; sisters, Norma Naquin, Delphine “Fin” Verdin and husband Jeffrey, Elizabeth Billiot, Cynthia Guidry and husband Roy and Diane “Di” Dardar and husband Norman “Rock”; grandchildren, Judson “Juddy” and Janice Deroche, Jarred Henry, Ryan Henry and companion Eugenie, Nicholas “Nick” Henry, Michael “Pumpkin” Soudelier, Lanny Dardar Jr., Andrew Dardar, Brandon Melancon and Tony “T.J.” Henry Jr.; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Zayden Ellender; and her special niece, Joann “Puckie” Rodrigue and husband Donny Vito.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Hi-Pocket” Henry, John Marie “Pop” and Elda “Mum” Billiot Naquin; son, Tony Henry Sr.; brothers, Antoine “Twan” Naquin, Chester, Glynn and Francis “T-Jim” Naquin and an infant brother; and sisters, Lena Rodrigue and Betty Billiot.

Pall bearers will be Juddy, Jarred, Ryan, Nich, Lanny Jr., Andrew, Brandon and T.J.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother to many. Her passion was gardening and her animals.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, at The Father’s House in Pointe-Aux-Chenes. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Father’s House with burial at Bisland Cemetery in Bourg, La.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
