Pearl Esponge Anselmi, 84, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.


Mrs. Anselmi was a member of Catholic Daughters of Sacred Heart and Sacred Heart Ladies Alter Society.

She is survived by her daughters, Lois (David) Dotson, Ellen (Dallas Mangas) Decuir and Amanda (Rodney Cheramie) Martinez; brother, Venice (Mary) Esponge; 17 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Warmosh “Black” Anselmi; parents, Venice and Enola Hebert Esponge; sons, Clarence, Juan and Mickey Anselmi; brother, Neves Esponge; and grandson, Roger Clark.

She is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
