Houma house fire kills 4 pets

Peggy Guidry Kitchens, 58, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Monday, July 13, at 3 a.m.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Guidry; one son, Donald Griffin Jr.; two daughters, Crystal Powell and Bridgette Guidry; two brothers, Andre Guidry Jr. and Rickey Guidry; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kitchens Jr.; and father, Andre Lorris Guidry Sr.
She was a member of Community Bible Church. She enjoyed dancing and fishing.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Community Bible Church in Cut Off with burial at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
