Peter “Milkman” Ruffin, 77, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died at 10:10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ruffin; sons, Anthony (Samantha) and Alphonso Ruffin, Gary (Vanessa) Francois, Peter, Leslie and Timothy Lewis and Jessie Johnson; daughters, Shelia Little, Bernadette McCray, Gerenda Bradford and Angela Griffith; stepdaughters, Christian Boulanger, Connie Roberson, Claudine Jennings and Cora Butler; brother, Rev. Roosevelt (Gwen) Cox; sisters, Etta Bourgeois, Catherine Paul, Myrtle Bouttee and Ida Brown; 42 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson with services to follow. Burial will be at Patterson Memorial Cemetery. (Jones)
