Peter Wade Callais, 44, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Sunday, November 2.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Williams Callais; his mother, Gloria Bienvenu Callais; three sons, Justin, Isaac and Noah; and two brothers, Charles Michael Callais and Corey Joseph Callais.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Joseph Callais; his grandparents, Abdon Callais and Ada Bruce Callais, C. Thomas Bienvenu Sr. and Isaure Blanchard Bienvenu; and one brother, Paul Abdon Callais.
He was CEO of Abdon Callais Offshore in Golden Meadow. He was on the board of directors and a secretary of Community Bank in Raceland, La., board of directors of Solid Waste Disposal Inc. (SWDI), of Houma, La. He was the 2000 chairman of the board of directors of the Chambers of Lafourche and Bayou Region, 1999 Small Business Person of the Year for District Three-Louisiana Department of Economic Development, 2001 Louisiana and Mississippi Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Inc., 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2007. He was 2004 Admiral of the Golden Meadow/Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo. He enjoyed scuba diving and fishing. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, November 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with mass to follow. He will be buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Golden Meadow.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
