Philip J. Toups Sr., a native of the St. Charles Community, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
Mr. Toups was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired welder and mechanical construction contractor.
He is survived by his children, Phyllis (Dickie) Robichaux, Theresa (Jimmy) Brocato and Philip Jr. (Debbie) Toups; brothers, Joseph Jr. and Louis Toups; sister, Dorothy Toups; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Theresa Toups; parents, Joseph and Laura Toups; brothers, Paul, Francis and Leo Toups; and sisters, Katherine and Margaret Toups.
Burial was at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
