Philip Joseph Maronge

Philip Joseph Maronge Sr., 73, a native of Dulac, La., and resident of Houma, La., and, most recently, Lafayette, La., died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at 10:35 p.m., at Lafayette Care Center.

He is survived by son, Phillip Maronge Jr.; daughters, Lynn (Wayne) Theriot and Tammy (Rodney) Sumrall; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Scott; and former wife, Veronica Duplantis.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Agnes Ella Maronge; parents, Henry and Agnes Savoie Maronge; brothers, Wilbert and Henry Maronge; and sister, Daisy Thibodeaux.

Mr. Maronge was the owner of P.J.M. Auto Sales in Houma for more than 20 years. He was alsoa fisherman and boat builder.
