Philomene Marie Hebert Savoie Breaux, 83, a native of Bayou Blue, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 6:05 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2007.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Bridget Cemetery.


She is survived by three sons, Fred Savoie and wife, Frances, Lee Savoie and wife, Darlene, of Schriever and Paul Savoie and wife, Doris, of St. Charles Community; four daughters, Dolores Boudreaux and husband, Davis, of Lockport, Gloria Portier and husband, Gilbert, Anna Faucheaux of Houma and Kathy Bergeron of Schriever; one stepson, Kenneth Breaux and wife, Bonnie, of Chauvin; three stepdaughters, Anita Ponville and husband, Anthony, of Labadieville, Viva Navarre and husband, O’Neil, and Carol Ann Gaudet of Thibodaux; 37 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Savoie Jr.; her second husband, Francis Breaux Sr.; her parents, Henry Hebert and Josephine LeBouef Hebert; four sons, Roy, Randy, Callen and Roland Savoie; one stepson, Francis “Sonny” Breaux Jr.; one stepdaughter, Mary Susan Breaux Adams; three grandchildren, Donald Landry, Judy Landry and Donna Boudreaux; two sons-in-law, Virgis Landry Sr. and Anatole “Nat” Faucheaux; three brothers, Clay, Peter and Joseph Hebert; and four sisters, Octavia Bergeron, Emily Bergeron, Marceline LeBouef and Eunice Crochet.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
