Philton Eloi Billiot, 66, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died at 6:59 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011.


Mr. Billiot was an inland and offshore pipeline welder and owned Philton Billiot Welding Service. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, watching old westerns and listening and dancing to French and Cajun music. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8779 and a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judith Billiot; children, Buffy, Jody and John (Michelle) Billiot, Angela (Matt) Lowrey and Marie (Shawn) Roddy; brother, John Billiot; sisters, Betty (Raymond) Rivet, Genevieve (Johnny) Smith, Elaine (Timmy) Liner and Caroline (Lawrence) Rel; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Lillian Billiot; and brother, Louis Billiot.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at St. Eloi Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Entombment will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
