Polly Mae Jones Williams

Polly Mae Jones Williams, 71, a native of Chauvin, LA. and a resident of Houma, LA., died Friday, March 2, 2007.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Chauvin. Funeral time will be 12 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with burial in the Bisland Cemetery in Bourg, LA.

She is survived by her sons, Donald, Albert and Michael Lagarde, Steven and Ronald Williams and wife, Carolyn all of Houma, LA.; her daughters, Paulette Williams and husband, Michael, Pearline Lagarde and Gloria Alvis and husband, Vernon Jr.; her brother, Clarence Jones Jr.; her sisters, Glora Mitchell and husband, Larry of Houma, LA., and Bertha Brown and husband, O. C. Brown of New orleans, LA.; eleven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Williams Sr.; her son, Herman Williams Jr.; her parents, Clarence Sr. and Ollie Brooks Jones; her daughter, Charlotte Lagarde; her sisters, Carol Jones, Rosie Smith, Lucille Coleman and Ethel Martin; and her grandparents, Johnny and Missy Jones and Ed and Celina Brooks.

She was a homemaker.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
