Ralph Allen Clawson Jr., 80, a native of Chicago, Ill., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011.

Mr. Clawson served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was the past president of the American Legion Post 31.


He is survived by his wife, June Miller Clawson; son, Greg (Shirley) Clawson; daughters, Cindy (Reggie) Lirette and Sandy Clawson; one grandchild, Justin (Kendra) Clements; five great-grandchildren, Conner, Megan, Wyatt and Austin Clements and Allison Cobb; and sisters, June Coppelo and Dorothy (Jim) Battaglear.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr. and Emma Kolhorst Clawson.
