Louisiana’s seniors increase in numbers and employment

Raoul Ledet Jr., 82, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011.
Mr. Ledet enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and gardening and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong trawler in the South Lafourche community.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Verges Ledet; son, Rodney Ledet; daughter, Joycelyn Grammar; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raoul Sr. and Ella Ledet; and brothers, Mervin and Herrick Ledet.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
