Ray J. Trosclair, 77, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at 4:15 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Dorris Trosclair; two sons, Randy Trosclair and his wife Nora and Troy Trosclair; one daughter, Jodie Cassity and her husband Mike; two brothers, Nolan and Hansel Trosclair; one sister, Grace Becknel; four grandchildren, Kirk and Macey Trosclair, Mitzi Musgraves, and Kaitlin Cassity; and four great-grandchildren, Drey and Dayne Trosclair, and Libbi and Eli Musgraves.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Xavier and Hotense Nicholas Trosclair; and one brother, Milton Trosclair, Sr.

Ray was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and a loving husband for 58 years. He served in the United States army at the Panama Canal from 1947-1949. He was a past member of the Burton Hunting Club. He retired from the Bayou Lafourche Freshwater District.

Visitation is Friday, September 7, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
