February 8, 2010Raymond Joseph Solar Jr., a native of Morgan City, La., and a resident of Bush La., died at St. Tammany Parish Hospital Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010.
A diehard Saints fan, Mr. Solar enjoyed watching the team on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sauce Solar; son, Bryon (Jamie) Solar of Abita Springs; daughter, Raylin (Walt) May-Nicholls of Mandeville; brother, Donald Solar of Morgan City; sister, Judy (Ronald) Faul of Morgan City; grandsons, Shawn Solar, Alex May, Troy Turner, Kaleb Solar and Korey Solar; and granddaughter, Brittany May.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. and Hazel Solar; and brothers, Ernest and Byrnes Solar.
He is buried at Morgan City Cemetery.
Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
