Raymond Peveto Jr., 79, a native of Orange, Texas, and resident of Berwick, La., died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011.

Mr. Peveto was a charter member of the Assembly of God Church of Berwick, now known as the Lighthouse Community Church. He served his country in the Korean conflict as a U.S. Army military policeman in Pusan, Korea. He spent his career with Shell Oil Company as production foreman primarily in the Gulf of Mexico until his retirement. His life revolved around his wife, daughter, son and extended family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved this wonderful man.


He is survived by his daughter Donnasue Peveto; son, Keith (Sherry) Peveto; granddaughter Deanna Peveto; grandson, Cole Wyant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Raymond Peveto Sr.; wife, Viva Peveto; sister, Mary Rodrigue; and brother, Milton Peveto. (Hargrave)
