Raymond Robert Pierron, 63, a native of Dulac, La. and a resident of Houma, La. died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 9:30 a.m.

He is survived by his companion, Jane Talbot; his mother, Adeline Lirette Pierron; two sons, Shawn Pierron and Shane Pierron and his Kara; one daughter, Tammy Piazza and her husband Randy; four brothers, Leroy, Michael, Al James, and Albert Pierron, Jr.; six sisters, Mable Blanchard, Mary Ann Boquet, Joyce Foret, Virginia Detiveaux, Shirley Callahan, and Patricia Domangue; three grandchildren, Stephanie Cruise, Jordan Pierron, and Amanda Piazza; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Pierron, Sr.; five brothers, Minus, Alvin, Terry, Wade, and Mark Pierron; and one sister, Lucille Pierron.

Raymond was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. He was a caring and generous person, who never forgot a person her met. He was a barber for 40 years and would trade anything for a haircut if someone didn’t have money to pay for one. Many haircuts were done out of kindness. He enjoyed fishing, crafting, and collecting “treasures”. He served his country in the United States Army.

Visitation is Friday, October 19, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and Saturday, October 20, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Annunziata Catholic Church.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
