Richard Anderson Sr., 63, a native of Belle Rose, La., and a resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Saturday, March 22.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Emelda Anderson of Belle Rose; daughter, Melissa A. Williams and husband, Shawn, of Belle Rose; sisters, Ada Comeaux and Patricia Anderson of Belle Rose, Constance Thrift of Florida and Barbara Anderson of Thibodaux, La.; brothers, Adam Spencer Anderson and Stephen Anderson of Donaldsonville, Leonard Anderson of Kansas, James and Robert Anderson of Belle Rose and Michael Anderson of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Anderson Jr.; and brother, Bernard Anderson.
He was a retired laborer.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at St. James United Methodist Church in Belle Rose with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
