Richard Anthony Savoie, 81, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Sunday, Oct. 4, at 2:05 a.m.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Morton and husband John; two grandchildren, Heath Elsensohn and wife Susan, and Jason Morton; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Elsensohn and Jack Elsensohn; and four sisters, Erna Labauve, Ellen Rogers, Clare Marcel and Norma Falgout.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella E. Savoie; parents, Edward D. Savoie and Lucille Babin Savoir; two brothers, Philip and Murry Savoie; and two sisters, Ruby Daigle and Iris.
He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Louis Church in Bayou Blue. He enjoyed farming and fishing.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer’s foundations.
A memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
