Richard Charles Aucoin, 77, a native of Lakelawn, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.
Mr. Aucoin worked for Texaco for 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was an army veteran who served during the Korean War. He enjoyed working with bulldozers and heavy equipment, cooking and family gatherings.
He is survived by his brothers, Rudy, Donald David and Roger Aucoin; daughters, Phyllis and Paula Aucoin, Sissy Neil, Betty DeVault, Carrie Denson and Dena Denson; sons, Jason DeVault and Bobby Denson; five grandchildren, Asia Lee, Kodi Guidry, Dakota Carlos, Craig Carlos II and Blaze Aucoin; three great-grandchildren, Trinity Portier, Kenzie Portier and Shawn Pierre Jr.; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Authement Aucoin; parents, Irving and Phyllis Marie Rogers Aucoin; and son, Irving “Bill” Claude Aucoin.
