Richard H. Benoit, Sr., 77, a native of Biddeford, Maine and resident of Paradis, La. died Friday June 15, 2007 at 11:55am.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Boyer Benoit; one son, Richard Henry Benoit; two daughters, Sherry Dufrene and her husband Derril, and Terry Robert and her husband Kelvin, one sister, Carmen Amy; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alida W. Benoit.
Richard was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
He was a Veteran who served his served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department.
Visitation is Monday, June 18, 2007 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm and Tuesday from 8:00am until 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, with the funeral to follow. He will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery at Raceland.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
