Richard Joseph Domangue, 81, a native and resident of Bayou Black, La., died Monday, June 21, 2010.


Mr. Domangue was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a local businessman having bought and sold fur and alligators for more than 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Earline Robichaux Domangue; sons, Rickie, Archie and Timothy (Paula) Domangue; daughters, Shela (Wayne) Smith and Heidi (Earl) Brunet; brothers, Marvin and Elgin Domangue; sisters, Judy Use’ and Glenda Antill; 10 grandchildren, Kelly (Ted) Brewer, Shawn (Shawn) Smith, Addie, Matt, Jenny, Brent and Severick Domangue, Joshua and Cullen Brunet and Brad (Heather) Domangue; eight great-grandchildren, Peyton, Erika, Macy, Brad Jr., Reese, Grant, Mason and Noah; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Enola Hebert and Hudson Domangue; three brothers, Hillary, Buevin and Myron Domangue; and one sister, Mayola Domangue Evans.

He is buried at St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery in Bayou Black.
