September 23, 2010Richard James Sr., 67, a native of Texacan, Ark., and resident of Morgan City, La., died at 10:08 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy James; children, Richard, Reginald, Amber, De’Angela, Angelica, Darrell, Grace and Kyle James; mother, Nettie Newton; siblings, Louise Rogers, Maryann James Lisa Gibson, Johnny Cooper and Glendale Newton; one grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and devoted friends.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24 with the funeral to follow at Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be at Christian Cemetery in Gretna, La.
