Behind basin restoration, Maloz leads

Rita Benoit Morvant, 86, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Choupic, La., died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Sr. and Gary (Frances) Morvant; daughter, Delores Benoit; brothers, Joachim and Edward Benoit; sister, Betty Louviere; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Morvant; her parents, Alces and Agathe Benoit; brothers, Jack, Clinton and Milton Benoit; and sisters, Mary Benoit and Lorita Morvant.
Burial was at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery in Chackbay. (Thibodaux)
