Rita Cotton Landry, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 surrounded by family. She was a native of Little Caillou and a resident of Marrero, LA. Rita was very spiritual and loved her Lord. She was a devout catholic who attended mass regularly. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Rita is survived by her son, Daniel Landry and wife Crystal. Rita is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She was talented and extraordinary in many ways. She loved to garden, quilt, crochet, and sew. Rita worked as a Nurse Assistant for over 20 years in the maternity ward at Sara Mayo Hospital in New Orleans. She enjoyed working with her friends and loved tending to the babies. Her positive attitude and unique personality endeared her to everyone. Rita now resides in her heavenly home, reunited with her family.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Tranquil Living for their love and care for Rita.
