Rita “Mel Mel” Billiot Rivet, 80, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Sunday, October 19, at 11:25 p.m.
She is survived by her brothers, Whitney Dardar, Edwin Dardar, Murphy Billiot, William Billiot, Lawrence Billiot, Robert Billiot and Leory Peter Billiot; and sisters, Jane Morgan, Modeste Revelle, Mary Lee Wisnouski and Ramona Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Rivet; parents, Aurelie and Alfreda Billiot; brother, Gilbert Dardar; and sisters, Arlene Dardar, Ramona Ambrose and Julianne Dardar.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
She will have a graveside service Monday, October 20, at Dardar Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
