Return of major sports aids recovery

Rita Orgeron Guillot, 87, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, May 22, at 11:30 a.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Guillot Fisher, one brother, Chester Orgeron; one sister, Doris Orgeron LeBoeuf; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Joseph Guillot; parents, Alice Duet Orgeron and Albert Frank Orgeron Sr.; three brothers, Albert Orgeron Jr., LeRoy Orgeron and Robert Orgeron; and one grandson, John D’Noy Fisher.
Visitation will be 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church, 2085 St. Mary St. in Thibodaux, La. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home of Thibodaux, La. is in charge of arrangements.
