Robert “Bobby Joe” “Budda” Bruce, 61, a native of Violet, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Wednesday, April 22, at 6:50 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bruce; mother, Clara Mae Plaisance Bruce; son, Bobby Joseph Bruce and wife Ariel E. Bruce; sisters, Cynthia B. Galliano and husband Moise, Rhonda B. Gautreaux and husband Dwight, and Deidre B. Guidry and husband Tony; sister-in-law, Brenda M. Guidry and husband Artie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph P. Bruce Jr.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. He enjoyed camping, being on the water and family time. He will be dearly missed. He was the best husband and father anyone could ask for.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
