Robert Gerald Crochet, 66, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Grand Caillou, La., died Sunday, March 8.


He is survived by his wife Gloria Dardar Crochet; sons, Gerald Billiot and wife Amy, and Robin Crochet; stepsons, Clarence Billiot, James Williams Jr. and wife Terry, Herman Williams and wife Tina, Roland Williams and wife Dorothy, and David Williams; daughter, Robin Sanchez; step-daughters, Rita Billiot and Betty Williams Carbo and husband Gerald; brother, Vincent Bergeron; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphone and Antoinette Ponville Crochet; brothers, Jake Bergeron, Donald Crochet and Elward Crochet; and sisters, Beverly Dardar, Shirley Trahan, Angelle Trahan, Betty Fonseca and Doris Brister.

He served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Grand Caillou Baptist Church.

Burial was at Grand Caillou Baptist Church Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
