Robert Lee Ortego, 85, a native of Ville Platte, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at his home, Tuesday, February 5, 2008.
He is survived by his son, Keith Ortego of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Donna Madere of Baton Rouge, Carla Ledet of Houma and Debbie Sadler of Houma; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloi and Odette Tate Ortego; his wife, Anna Rella Ortego; and son, Robert Lynn Ortego.
Robert was a past member of the American Legion in Ville Platte and a past member of the Knights of Columbus in Ville Platte.
Interment was in the Evangeline Memorial Mausoleum.
LaVille Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
