Robert W. Large

Robert W. Large, 81, a native of Flint, Mich., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Pierce Large; sons, Stanley Michael and John Clinton Large and Johnny James and Steven Clay McGraw; daughters, Kayle Lynn (Verlon) Davis, Janie (Richard) Pitre and Michelle (Jason) Ford; sisters, Patricia (Ray) Melton and Betty Krah; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Katie Garrison Large; great-grandson, Brenden John Tabor; daughter, Stacey Large; and brother, Norman Large.

Mr. Large was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran and a member of F& AM Lodge 416 in Dewey, Okla.

Visitation is set for Monday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 8 a.m. until service time, at Falgout Funeral Home’s chapel in Houma. Funeral services will be held at the chapel at 11 a.m.

He will be buried at St. Eloi Cemetery.
