Mandated therapy may better serve divorcing couples, counselor says

Robert A. Weimer, 91, a native and resident of St. Charles Community, LA., died at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, December 31, 2006.


Visitation will be from 8 to 11 a.m., in which mass will be held, Tuesday at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland, LA. Burial will be in the church mausoleum.


He is survived by one brother, Clement Weimer, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Breaux Weimer; his parents, Frank and Lucie Guedry Weimer; his stepfather, Clement Weimer, Sr.; 4 brothers, Charles, Windeline, Frank, and Phillip Weimer, Sr., and 3 sisters, Mary B. Robichaux, Gabe B. Melancon, and Margaret B. Richard.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a former L.S.U. Tigers baseball player, and an avid fisherman.

He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church.

Falgout Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
