October 20, 2010Rodney J. Martin, 70, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.
Mr. Martin was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was a retired airman in the U.S. Air Force and a member of American Legion Post 259, National Welding Society and American Welding Society. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Evelia Terrebonne Martin; daughters, Regina Martin Lasseigne and Rebecca Martin; nieces, Kathy Bruce and Brenda “Peanut” Guidry; brothers, Hector “Nu” Martin Jr.; and 10 grandchildren, Brittany Lynn “Crappy” Creppel, Kaleb Bruce, Brendon Gautreaux, Bregan “Na-Noon” Dewey, Brook “Pie” Dewey, Hailey “Bug” Cheramie, Braden Billiot, and Braley “Br-Bra”, Braxton “Tu-Tu” and Cody Lasseigne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hector Martin Sr.
He is buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Cemetery.
