Rodney “P.T.” Terrebonne Sr., 74, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 10:13 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011.

Mr. Terrebonne was a member of the Port Commission, Knights of Columbus, Boy Scout Master, Admiral of the Blessing of the Fleet and president of the Louisiana Oyster Festival Association. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow.


He is survived by his sons, Toby (Jeannie), Rodney Jr. (Torey) and Brent Terrebonne; daughters, Dianell (Farrell) Trahan, Rebecca (Bryan) Becker and Shelly Terrebonne; brother, Maurice Terrebonne; sister, Irene Kern; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Terrebonne; parents, Dominic and Natchel Terrebonne; brothers, Leo and Invy Terrebonne; and sisters, Gusta Adams, Earline Pitre, Elenor and Leonise Terrebonne, Hazel Dupre and Genevieve Doucet.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
