Roger “Mike” Smith Sr., 61, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Feb. 15, at 9:05 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Bonvillain Smith; son, Roger M. Smith Jr. and wife Niki; brother, Lonnie “Bubba” Smith and wife Sis; sister, Lela Maltz; and granddaughters, Emma Helen and Lillian Ann Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Sr. and Helen Tidwell Smith.
He was a production operator for Superior Oil Company. He was also a vehicle transporter for Terrebonne Ford and Dick Barker.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma followed by a memorial service.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
