July 12, 2010Ronald “Chunk” Joseph LeCompte, 83, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 4:08 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Carlos LeCompte; son, Peter LeCompte; grandson, Ross Lecompte; and sister, Marietta Ray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Louis and Estelle Louise LeBouef LeCompte; two brothers, Melvin and William LeCompte; and one sister, Maybelle Cancienne.
He is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
